Computer Literacy

What is Computer Literacy?

Literacy when put in simple terms and as defined by ‘WordWeb’ is the ability to read and write. Computer Literacy is an essential skill/knowledge needed to cope in this fast paced ever changing world we live in and has become a very important aspect of human development, the need for crisp clear Interactions and the ability to cope/keep abreast in this digital age coupled with the immense benefits attainable. You remember back in Y2K, we had as at that time the Y2K bug era and the call for the Y2k Compliance act, though we still live within the same lines of thought on conforming to recent happenings whilst still in the same century and if you found this as a form of necessity back in Year 2000 (if you weren't previously aware of this, visit this link to know more: A little on the Y2K bug courtesy of britannica.com) then it’s not any different now, it’s pretty much still the same ball game today as there’s even a more significant need for a humble level of computer know how which could take you from been lost/dazed every time someone mentions an easier means of getting tasks done via computer technology as opposed to older known methods. Bolstering one’s computing knowledge is both pleasurable and gainful. Take for instance having to to send an electronic mail in comparison with the good old fashioned Postal service, VOIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) Services etc.
