The Microsoft Windows Revolution

Microsoft windows has revolutionized and shaped the computing world as far back as I can remember, not merely because I grew up a fan boy of the brand. The simple fact that it has somehow stood the tide and come out to even compete with present day technological advancements in mobile tech, mobile Operating Systems Giants such as: The Google Android OS, The Apple iOS & The Blackberry OS Platform to mention but a few; the aforementioned are some of the current heavyweights in the Smart Phone Industry. This undoubtedly could be very challenging times for the once dominant PC Industry strongholds like:Windows, Apple, IBM and a host of others as they hope to keep their heads above water not just in competition between themselves anymore but now in competition arising from the Smart Phone Manufacturers. Smart Phones have since evolved and experienced its own fair-share of ups & downs in all fairness to regular PC & Mac users, Smart phones are not here to just make a fashion statement or serve only as a complimentary day to day Electronic Gadget primarily designed to make and receive calls, send text messages as the case may have been years ago but rather to make a very much felt significant impact and difference on our day to day technological needs, ranging from the very now seemingly old fashioned/Ageing  Electronic Mailing(E-mail) to having various essentials such as the GPS Maps, Near Field Communication, High Speed Internets on the go (HSPDA, HSPDA+, 3G, 4G etc.), High speed processors to support multitasking and to provide a very rich multimedia experience for the users. Not to derail so much from our very point of discussion which is what can be done by Desktop PCs Operating Systems Manufacturers in-order to regain a vast decline in the demand of their products. As current statistics reveal that the demand for PCs have declined due to the capabilities of Tablets and Smart Phones alike, with Microsoft's pedigree in the Software Industry and their acquisition of Finnish mobile phone producer Nokia. Microsoft may have this all planned out already as to how to continue to keep its share of the software Market or may have diversified in-order to bring more competition and productivity between Smart Phone manufacturers, it's wouldn't be out of place to say that they (Microsoft) are seemingly already heading in the right direction and are not ready to play second fiddle, for every other key player in the industry; diversification, reinventions and more investment in researches could be the way forward...To be continued
